Premium Members Charles Papert Posted September 25, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 25, 2007 Hi: I need a single chip to get my Modulus 3000 back working again after a power surge, and it is not available elsewhere. So I need a salvage unit, either a non-working 2000 or 3000, or possibly a 2000 if someone wants to sell for a reasonable amount. For those who might be inspired to say "just buy a Canatrans", I say, just send me a check for the difference between the new price of that sucker and what it will cost me to fix my Modulus, and I'll be happy to. Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted December 20, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 20, 2007 For those who might be inspired to say "just buy a Canatrans"... Call me sentimental, but I miss the days of a simple lw xmitter that I can actually flip on/off when I want and was less $$ than a gimbal. rb
Premium Members Charles Papert Posted December 20, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 20, 2007 Yes, thank you for offering but I got the Modulus fixed. I was informed (not by CIT mind you) that the chip I needed was indeed out of manufacture but could be had from companies that specialize in stockpiling such things, you have to buy a minimum quantity but that was far less than buying a new unit. So I've been back up and running for a while now. In the meantime, I did check out the Cramped Attic transmitter and it is a great replacement for the Modulus.
