Premium Members Michael Stumpf Posted November 3, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 In response to Erwin's post below, I am taking this vehicle mount off the market until I try flipping the socket block around and try using it as a "regular" vehicle mount... which I prefer to back mounted vehicle mounts. Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted November 3, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 Hi Michael, FYI: You can flip the Socket Block quite easily and use it with a Front Mount as well. A couple of screws and about 10 minutes...
Premium Members Michael Stumpf Posted November 4, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 4, 2007 Hi Michael, FYI: You can flip the Socket Block quite easily and use it with a Front Mount as well. A couple of screws and about 10 minutes... Really?? I'll look into that as I prefer front mounted socket block when hard mounted. That's the one area (back mounted vehicle mount) I never liked as well when I switched from a front mounted vest/vehicle mount to the DSD/Klassen vest/vehicle mount back in summer 2002. Edit: Erwin, as a moderator, I give you permission to just delete this for sale thread for me. There's no reason to keep it here on the forum since I'm taking the mount off the sale market until I can try flipping the socket block around to see if the Klassen mount works good that way. Thanks
Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted November 4, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 4, 2007 No problem, I was using it that way for the last year or so. Older units need a little more talking to but all are switchable.... BTW: Moderators can't edit or delete anything in the for sale section as you paid for that privilege to post here... You have to do it yourself... or contact Tim directly...
Premium Members Michael Stumpf Posted November 7, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 7, 2007 Flipped the socket block on the Klassen vehicle mount. Was easy took all of about 10 minutes. Will give it a shot sometime in the future now that it's in "regular" orientation. Thanks for the info Erwin. Premium Members quincy paglaro Posted November 8, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 8, 2007 Hello, I have a 'front mount' garfield mount that I will be selling when I get my Klassen vest any day now. If you don't like the results you get from the flip I will trade you if you wish.I am planning to pick up a Klassen mount so I don't need to flip my pro arm when going hard mount. Let me know if you are intrested Cheers Quincy Paglaro qpaglaro@gmail.com
