Eric Young
I am enquiring about the XCS Ultimate Sled power out connectors pin-outs as I can't find them on XCS's website. A shoot is coming up shortly where it's intended to mount the new Red One digital cinema camera on an XCS Ultimate Sled, and want to power the Red off the sled. Making up our own power cables as the Red One uses a non-standard LEMO power connector. Also, what is the maximum rated current output of the power outputs? Thanks for any information. Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted November 8, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 8, 2007 I don't have the answer to your question, but please do let me know how this goes as I have a feeling I will be making up some of my own power cables to run the red off my sled in the near future. What are you doing for a monitor? I don't think the Red has standard def out. I have thought about mounting the Red monitor on my sled but I havn't yet looked into what connectors it and the camera have so don't know what it would take to run the wiring through my post. ~Jess
Premium Members Benjamin Treplin Posted November 9, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 9, 2007 Eric, Jess, last page of the manual: Lemo 2B 302: 1- 12Vcd, 2- Gnd - isolated power Lemo 2B 303: 1- 24Vcd, 2- Gnd, 3- 12Vcd I don't know the maximum load of the two 12V outputs with the standard wiring option. There are three wiring options for the Ultimate. Call or mail Greg Bubb for reference. I'm sure he will be happy to help you. http://www.xcsinc.com/contactus.html Best

This has just been a tentative enquiry on behalf of someone else, so not sure about where the rig is coming from or what they intend to do about the monitoring yet, but was also interested in the answer myself.
