Hey guys,

I have just ripped a DVD that has some steadicam shots I worked on. I am unable to add the VOB file to premiere 2. What is a good program that can convert these VOB files into something Premiere likes?

I have encoded the VOB files to Mpeg in the past but I can never get the quality right. And now I don?t even have that program. Forgot the name. Some Mpeg Converter. If you know a good way to go about this I love to here it. Maybe some pointers on settings too?

Thanks

Vile Kyle

Kyle,

Try Canopus procoder 2.0 or 3.0. Works fine here !

Mpeg Streamclip is a great app to convert a DVD or VOB file.

AVI in DV codec should be great for editing in Premiere.

You can also de-mux it into elementary mpeg2+ AIFF if you wat to stay in the native code
