I'm revamping my ridiculously disorganized cases; let's talk about what you guys are using to store cables in; mesh bags? clear bags? etc.

Hey Charles,

Sounds corny but they work really well:

they come in 4x6 and 5x7 and wicked affordable

All the best

I may be one of the cheap ones as well, but I've found surprisingly sturdy clear cases at Target. They come filled with Umberto brand shampoo which I just give to my wife and daughter. They are roughly 7"x7" and 1.5" deep with a clear front, zippered side and a clear slot on the back that's perfect for an index card with info. Again, surpisingly durable.

In addition to my clear plastic pencil case approach, two of my colleagues also have a neat solution for cables - they use circular padded zip up container/bags, which is actually designed for storing CDs, for use in the car. They have a few of these in the sled case, and have one for focus cables, one for power, one for video etc. Works well, neat and tidy and good protection.

WOW, pretty fancy stuff, those red ones from Canada with the clear plastic window are especially nice. I, However, use clear Zip lock freezer bags, any grocery store, they cost nothing and I simply replace them every 6 months or so. Low tech approach.

I searched high and low for a good tackle style bag and finally settled on this one:

But don't do like I did and search during the peek of fishing season... half of what I found on the websites where not on the shelf.
