8/super8mm film to dvd transfer

I looked into having Pro8 transfer my family home movies and my old student films, got a quote that was top-end to say the least, and then started exploring other options. I ended up going with Cinepost in Georgia; they are using a Rank with wetgate and it was less than half the price (their explanation was that you aren't paying the "studio convenience" markup, which is probably pretty likely). I was happy with the results. I did have a concern about shipping the fragile films across country, but I double boxed and insulated and all was fine.

 

I actually had the footage transferred to DVCAM and hard drive, but I know they will do DVD as well.
