Premium Members Charles Papert Posted January 23, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 23, 2008 I got to see "The Last Word" at Sundance on Monday, and I gotta say--Geoff has written and directed a great movie (and his operating was stellar as well!). Riding the line between comedy and drama is never easy but he did it and made it look effortless. I wasn't alone either--the audience clearly enjoyed it too. Really proud of him and I hope everyone gets to see this in wide distribution. Way to go, Geoff!

Premium Members Tim Bellen Posted February 5, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 5, 2008 Yikes! Geoff is a hell of a film maker. I also attended Sundance and was able to see the premier of The Last Word. Charles was right - somehow Geoff was able to explore a taboo subject and inject it with hilarious ironic comedy. I was so impressed with Geoff's command of writing and directing - When you see it, you will swear it was his 5th feature length film, not his first. He's so good, however, it was actually depressing that his operating (in the middle of all that pressure) was flawless. Damn it Geoff!
