I am talking with Tiffen now to get the 1" masters and make a high quality DVD of the "Steadicam® EFP? Video Training Manual."

By the way, they own the copyright on the video and on the manual that went with it, so I respectfully request that people respect the copyright.

Jerry,

CP used to give an arrray of video's out over the years, including the "Master shoots" and the like, would be grat if they could be integrated on that DVD, just a thought...

I will get a copy once they are available...

Keep us updated with availability, price, etc...

Thank you for the initiative... And of course for the original tape...

NOW to the next lost Video... Who has the master to Ted Churchil's spuff "A Day in the Life of a Steadicam Operator" I'll buy one too.

Take care...

Hi,

it's my first post here and I only wanted to say that I'm really looking forward to buy that DVD. I've heard so many positive comments about the EFP training tape. This is a great initiative Mr. Holway, thank you!

Like David I'm a beginner and I've just finished a homebuilt stabilizer based on a Steadicam SK post and gimbal. It is designed for cameras up to 10 kg - so it's small.

I didn't wanted to jump in and buy an expensive rig without any experience but I must admit that I'm infected in the meantime and even consider to join the next Workshop ;) .

Greetings from Germany!

Andreas

All-

This has been on my list to do for some time. Not, I admit, at the top of my list, but there's been progress.

FYI, CP lost the 1" master tapes, but last fall I found (in an old box in the basement) my own 1" sub-masters... alas, it's all the video but not the final sound.

The good news is that I've made a new digi-Beta copy of that... and I have a good, unused VHS for the sound (also made from the master).

So we can soon (whatever that means) make a reasonable quality DVD...

Maybe later this spring??

Thank You Jerry,

That is good news...

I'm hearing of more and more people buying bootleg VHS copies of shitty quality, for ridiculous amounts of money... mainly of e-bay. Many have heard of that tape but as new guys are emerging less people actually have one... my copy has made quite some rounds here in LA.

Keeping my ears peeled,

Erwin

Today i wrote to TIFFEN asking about the remastered version of EFP video.

This because I saw on YOUTUBE a video about Steadicam pilot: at the end there is a little reminder to that video....

Hearing that, it seems that is already available...so i wait for any answer from them or from....this forum friends !!!
