Premium Members Dan Coplan Posted February 12, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2008 There is one problem with this unit which is that the threads which hold the follow focus bracket are nearly stripped and not as strong as original. The unit as it is now is fine as the follow focus bracket is securely fixed, however it's recommended that you permanently attach the follow focus bracket by cold welding it in which case it'll be strong and secure. The downside is that the bracket will become a permanent part of the donkey box, but how often would you remove it anyway? The bracket on there now is for the BFD but I was told by PRO that both with this bracket and their current quick-release bracket, adapters are available to use either the BFD or Preston. This DBox was checked out by PRO and other than the issue with the threads was given the thumbs up. I'm told that a fair price for one of these in perfect condition is $2500 so I'm offering this up for $2000. Will also entertain offers.
