4pin Lemo love - Jack

I need a few Lemo jacks and plugs. (2 of each actually... so I can put them inline on a cable)

They can have bare cable on them, new or used, dirty or clean.

I don't even know if they make female and male plugs, or if they just do plugs and jacks. Honestly i get lost in the secret high-class plug language. =)

Anyway, if you got'em I can pay for'em. Maybe send me a photo first so I learn to talk plug.

Thanks

Terry West in LA has bins full of just about every imaginable connector you could need... and then some. Search for his name here and I think you'll find his number or PM me and I'll give it to you.

Good luck!

Me again folks.

No joy from Terry, all that he has are spoken for. Nice guy though.

So I'm still looking for either used plugs, or even the part number so I can order them directly.

Anyone know the part number?

I think the plug that I need has a NRO on it.. not Lemo, although I'm pretty sure Lemo makes them too.

Thanks

Jeez Baldwin, thought you of all people would recognize a hermaphrodite when you saw one. PRO vid/power is single-sex version.

The old-school motor cables (WRC-4, Seitz amp etc) used this connector, so if anyone has any of these in their odds and ends bin, poor Bryan has been trying to crack this nut for a while.

A male cable mount connector is a "plug". A female panel mount connector is a "receptacle". A female cable mount receptacle is a "jack", or sometimes a "free receptacle".

Lemo Part numbers:

Plug: FFA.0S.304.CLAC42

Jack: PCA.0S.304.CLLC42

Note that the last two digits (42) refer to the collet size, which determines what size cable you are using. 42 means the collet diameter is 4.2mm. Several different diameters are available.

The plug is readily available from many sources (I stock them). The second is a special order part that would have to be ordered from Lemo.

Sheesh, what would my parents think if they caught wind that I am looking for a couple of hermaphrodites on the internet.

Hey thanks for the info Jim, I was just preparing to email you. You beat me to the punch. Thanks tons.

I've had great results ordering all types of Lemo connectors from this company -- http://www.alpine-electronics.com/

They have a fully itemized parts catalog so you can dial in the exact connector or plug and pin config. and collet size that you need and have a detailed spec diagram so you know exactly what you're getting.

Rob,

Yep, EFP.

I have a set of Mini Kinos. I'm planning on putting the plugs inline after the transformer so I can unplug them from the Kino transformer, and plug the ballast directly to the rig for some eyelight.

I got the Kinos from another PRO operator, and he has the PRO plugs inline to do the same thing. I'm just replacing the PRO with "EFP" plugs.

Any thoughts? I didn't think until just now that the rig might not be able to handle it.

Nick: Thanks for the lead. I'll call them once CA wakes up.
