Premium Members Ron Bolte Posted June 23, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 Hi All, I'm in need of a lightweight triax cable setup for this Saturday, beg, borrow, rent or steal! DAG, is yours still available? its not on your website anymore, didn't know if you gave up on trying to sell. (knew I should have bought it last year!) Thanks in advance! Everyone stay dry, and stay cool, summer is on us here in the midwest! -Ron
Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted June 23, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 Hi Ron, Yes, I still have it. I wound up needing it for the rose bowl parade this year so.... I decided that I'm keeping it forever... (unless of course someone makes me an offer I can't refuse. ;) I would like to rent it to you but somewhere between rentals the cable was damaged and it cost me over $100 to get it fixed. So, unfortunately, I'm not renting it out anymore. Sorry!!!! You should Contact Fred Davis at Production Cable Services, he is getting into triax! His contact info is on the steadicam guild web site under resources. Hope this helps.

Premium Members Charles Papert Posted June 24, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 24, 2004 I have one I don't use any more. It's a bit Frankenstein-esque, but it worked great for me back in '94 on the World Cup. 6' long, Kings connectors, and the ground wire has triple back-ups. I tried to use it once with a digital Triax setup, and it didn't work for some reason although the engineers tested it and all of the wires showed continuity, so I don't know--some sort of digital weirdness. If you interested in buying it, email me and I'll send some pix. Charles
