Premium Members Afton Grant Posted February 19, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 I have a couple hundred video clips in Quicktime MOV format that I would like to convert into Flash Video (FLV) format. Obviously, one at a time is not a good option. Does anyone know of a program for Mac or PC that will batch process the files? Thanks! Afton Hi Afton, I posed this question to an editor/graphics artist buddy of mine, here is his response: Yeah, the industry standard FLV creator is Sorenson Squeeze. We use it at work and it can do multiple files in batch. http://www.sorensonmedia.com/pages/?pageID=3 I hope this helps! Brian |-)~

Premium Members Charles Papert Posted February 20, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 20, 2008 Another option is ffmpegx (http://homepage.mac.com/major4/); there is a helper app called Quick Batcher which you will also need (http://www.emmgunn.com/quickbatcher/qbatcherhome.html). Both are free.
Premium Members Sydney Seeber Posted February 21, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 21, 2008 While I do use Sorenson Squeeze, I also bought an excellent program from On2 Technologies called Flix Pro... It does have a batch option, and it has many, many encoding options for Flash. 2 pass, etc... The main difference between this and Squeeze, is that it only encodes Flash files, (FLV and SWF) and Squeeze does pretty much everything. But, Flash, Flix Pro does well... It's also only about half the price of Squeeze. (I think it was like $200 or something) The On2 encoder is actually built into the Squeeze software, but the Flix Pro software has a more robust interface.
