Premium Members JobScholtze Posted March 6, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 6, 2008 Thank god you guys have a great firedepartment overthere with really big stuff to get you out in case of an accident. Stay on the footpads, dont go on the highway with that. ;)
Premium Members Mike McGowan SOC Posted March 6, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 6, 2008 cool as shit! can it go on the highway? could you tow a small (super small like 4') trailer with it?
Premium Members Rob Vuona SOC Posted March 7, 2008 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 cool as shit! can it go on the highway? could you tow a small (super small like 4') trailer with it? Yes it goes on the highway, top speed 90-100 MPH, not great sprinting power but good enough, I wouldn't want to tow anything with the giant 3 cylinder motor . . .LOL . . .and as for the cart, the cases have wheels but they ride on the stand base which also has wheels . . . Ok . . .OK . . .the truth is I bought one of Erwins old cases and put a 3 cylinder motor in it and this is what I came out with . . . .LOL . . . . I know you guys are all secretly jeoulous . . .LOl . . . .
Premium Members Lawrence Karman Posted March 7, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 From the picture you posted it looks like the only car made that could actually fit in your garage. Good for you! I hear they have a good crash rating with a formula 1 style cage built around the teeny tiny occupants.
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted March 7, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 and I was proud of myself for shoe-horning all my stuff into my Mazda 3 hatchback...pretty cool Rob! You should be able to put a handle on the back of it and use it as a rickshaw. rb
Brett Manyluk
Not only is that a small car, but a very small garage! Just look at that. Barely fit a 10 speed... Surprisingly, we have lots of them here in northern alberta and you see them all time on our main hi way dodging semi's and the fleet of large pickups. In oil country up here everybody else drives a 3/4 or 1 ton dually diesel with a 6" lift, big mudders, and a chrome package. No truck is fit to drive under $70,000 in the land of bitumen. But the little smart car holds its own quite nicely on paved roads.
Premium Members Lukas Franz Posted March 7, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 Hey Rob, you're actually driving a Swiss car. It's a Swiss invention built by Germans. And I'm shure Erwin will know this car as well. Good choice :-) Funny that I'm driving US Chevrolet in Switzerland. Cheers. Lukas
