George Grammatikos Posted March 26, 2008 Report Share Posted March 26, 2008 i believe that a level(digital or a bubble) always need in your rig ,you can have a look on it some times but it is there only for help so try to focus on your frame , on actors movement and in your horography but not on the level . if you are focus in your frame you will see if something going wrong with your horizon if you are focus in your level prodably you will have a bad frame !!! and finaly wrong horizon ! my 2euro-cents Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I keep a spirit level on the base of my sled. It allows me a quick reference to insure my digital level is true, and when I glance at terrain or looking for a step, it's in my peripheral vision while looking down. Once you have used a spirit level for a while, you'll probably find it better to have a video overlay. You simply don't have to stray from your monitor to reference your level. Add sensitivity and dampening capabilities of a digital level, and all the better. I certainly don't live by the digital level, but it's a useful reference.
