Premium Members Stefan von Bjorn Posted March 16, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 Can anyone tell me if this new FCC '09 change will effect us transmitter owners? I have quite a lot a money in these transmitters and would like to know if these will become obsolete in Feb '09. I have read the many assumptions by people, but have still not heard anything of authority on this subject. Can I use my CanaTrans and my Sony tuner in 2010? Anyone have a simple answer? Thank you, Stefan von Bjorn SOC.
Premium Members Lawrence Karman Posted March 16, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 While I am not an expert I would expect the answer to be nobody knows what will happen. Of course your transmitter and receiver will still work, it's just a question of how many of the analog UHF and VHF frequencies will be taken over by emergency services and yet to be invented uses. Premium Members nick franco Posted March 21, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2008 Wow, so we have channel 15 AND 17 available. Does this mean we have to take turns?
