Premium Members JimBartell Posted April 8, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 8, 2008 (edited) I can add a photo: Best. Andrey Yazydzhi , SOA , russian steadicam operator&instructor , yazydzhifilms.com , yazydzhi@mail.ru , +7 903 7406481. I've got to know: What kind of wireless follow focus is that, Andrey? I thought I knew them all. Jim "color me baffled" Bartell Edited April 8, 2008 by JimBartell
Premium Members Philip J. Martinez SOC Posted April 8, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 8, 2008 (edited) Here is a setup I need to fix for the next week of shooting. Far to top heavy (not that the setup is heavy) Edited April 8, 2008 by Philip J. Martinez
Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted April 8, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 8, 2008 I need to start taking pictures of my setups. Had one a while back similar to many of these, except they wanted to record sound to camera so we had two rather large wireless hops and a comtek transmitter attached. By the end I didn't feel that I really needed to add any weight and after using a very large amount of gaff tape things didn't seem to move around too much..... Film is so much easier. ~Jess

Premium Members Philip J. Martinez SOC Posted April 9, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 9, 2008 Hi Erwin, Did you find the bags for the wireless OK? It seems like they would move around to much. I like how they sit instead of on top of the handle. does anyone else have pictures of wireless receivers mounted to a small video camera? I'm looking for ideas!
Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted April 10, 2008 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 10, 2008 Hi Philip, I Velcro-ed the crap out of these bags and it was still moving... I usually avoid any kind of sound on my rig. But that time, there was no option... exempt for wiring in... Anyhow... The funny part was about 30 minutes later, when the camera decided to separate it self from the mounting threads... They give a 4/20 mounting point, but that mounting point is attached with four miniature M-1 screws that attach to the aluminum body... and voila... see below... Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted April 10, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 10, 2008 I used similar bags for audio crap once and if I remember correctly we had to result to gaff tape to keep them from moving and even then they were still a pain in the arse. ~Jess
Premium Members Philip J. Martinez SOC Posted April 11, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 11, 2008 I guess I'd better stick to the Jimmy box on the top handle. Thanks
