Adding Weight vs longer post

Depends on the circumstances.

If the operator was a known VariLite hitter, then a shorter sled would be better than a longer one! B)

PS: See you Wed. Most prob around 3. I'll call ya when I know whats happening.

Cheers,

Prompter Monitor made top heavy. Added weight to bottom rather than lengthen post. Thoughts?

Depends. Small video camera, 16mm system, light weight 35, go for it.......

Heavy system, make the post longer (unless you need the knee room)....

3rd option, tell the director and producers to shove the prompter up their ass.

chris, what prompter are you using? It shouldn't effect the camera weight hardly at all

But to answer your question, keep in away from your knees, I like it shorter but then again, I'm not vertically blessed like you

Mike, we wish we could tell them to shove the prompter, but the truth of it is, almost every show were on has a prompter on the steadi and on top of that that crazy little cheap monitor and bracket has made me thousands. LOL . . .

Pappas, I'm going to have you seated in the seats directly in front of the camera lane so I can whack that goofy accent out of your voice! The ankle weights on the bottom of my post will leave a nice welt.

Rob, using the LCD4Video monitor you suggested. Of course, 1 1/2 lbs made the rig top heavy!

Mike, To make matters worse, we aren't even using it for prompter. JK wants to see program all the time. And he IS paying for the kids' tuitions, house in Mammoth and nylons for Mama. So, if he wants program, this humble servant will comply.
