JasonMcKelvey
Can the ProVid be dynamically balanced? If not, are there any solutions? Jason
Premium Members MichaelStewart Posted July 4, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 4, 2004 I would guess that anything can be dynamically balanced with some tape and weights (I have my sk2 dynamically balanced) the provid I believe has more adjustment available for it, thus easier to balance, do not own one , but if I can balance the SK2 you can do a provid. Premium Members Jason Williams Posted July 4, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 4, 2004 When I bought mine last week, Robin @ Optex said the best balance for the Provid was to pull the battery mount out as far as it will go, I've found this best, and when you take the don juan position, it stays rock solid balance wise. Hope this helps. Jason
Premium Members Jason Williams Posted July 5, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 5, 2004 While we're on the Provid subject does anyone know which Lemo connector it is, either 00 or 0B? Thanks Jason :)
Premium Members AndreasKielb Posted July 20, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 20, 2004 Hi Jason, First of all congrats on your purchase! I have a Steadicam SK (..at least the post) but I think the stage is similar to the Provid. The two pin power connector of the stage is a lemo 0B and the big four pin connector between the post and the base module (power and video) is a lemo 1B. Hope this information from another newbie is helpful ;) Andreas www.andreaskielb.de
