Premium Members Charles Papert Posted May 21, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 The crane-step off safety issue is something that I have brought to the attention of the local and we will be working with the CSATF (the safety passport folks) to set up guidelines of what is truly (and legally) considered "safe" with this type of shot. I'll be reporting as things develop. In the meantime, to echo some other voices here, try to get the most stable crane you can get and clip in. Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted June 2, 2008 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 Update: I went to VER Sales in Burbank and got me a Harness, Lanyard and Web Anchor. Total cost $200. Money well spend. The harness goes over the Steadicam Vest and does not interfere with the Arm. # S-WD-V110P-U ($68) Jens VER sales
