Arnaud Keil
I did try running an HD signal down the post and it did not work but then I realized that the port my pro cable runs into on the boland is an sd port not an hd port. I'm guessing however that even if it was, the cable would not carry the signal........ As far as rewireing the post, wow, that would be difficult on a few levels. First, would you add a second spicket on the top stage for an hd in? Then the same problem at the bottom, do you have a second monitor out port? Same problem on my V-25. I can't feed my sled with an HDSDI signal. It's an internal wiring issue. New sleds should be HDSDI compliant.
Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted June 29, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 As far as resolution goes the Boland 8.4" is 800x600 and the Hummingbird/Blackbird monitors are 640x480. With SD being 720x480 and HD starting at 1280x720 that puts the Boland in the realm of slightly better res than SD but not quite HD. ~Jess
Premium Members Martin Stacey Posted June 30, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 30, 2008 Same problem on my V-25. I can't feed my sled with an HDSDI signal. It's an internal wiring issue. New sleds should be HDSDI compliant. The V25 can take a HD Component signal but not HD-SDI hence the three lines down the post. Premium Members mark morgan Posted June 30, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 30, 2008 i am currently using the sachtler "artemis pro hd sdi" sled and the nebtek monitor as far as the sled it can take an HD/SDI signal an SD signal and do a component signal RGB as well all thru the post never had any problems and i have used them all at one time or another for 2300.00us the nebtek does hd/sdi,sd and component and has a loop out of all the signals i use it in the sun all the time and can always see frame, the image has never ever completly gone away but i think they could use a few more nit's,but once again for the price it's solid and it's built solid with a full medal jacket around it i have done 2 side by side test with this monitor one test against the transvideo superbright and one against the panasonic hd monitor both test done outdoors results the superbright won,but not by a mile and it's not hd the panasonic lost, with the sunlight hitting the screens at the same angle the nebtek still had a very viewable picture where as the panasonic was barely there and once again for the price i am happy
