Premium Members flemming laybourn Posted June 14, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 14, 2008 Hello everyone..! a quick question..: shooting with a Panavision Millinium XL for the first time on monday.. And since we dont have any panavision cameras in Scandinavia ( to my knowledge ) I will be getting a camera from london.. I believe they will be making a cable for my pro-rig.. but just in case... do any of you know what type of power-plug is on the XL..? I heard rumors that you can use a Arri 535/435 powercable and "just" switch the polarity... but..well you know... All the best Flemming Laybourn

This is a split hermaphrodite plug. NOT the same as the Arri 535/435 plug. It is the same plug that fits in your AUX output on the PRO top stage. Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted June 14, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 14, 2008 as Lawrence said, it's the same size lemo on your power cables (only a 2 pin instead of 3). The arri cable thing won't work. Worst case senario is that you take the end off a pwr cable you know you won't need then do a quick solder-job using one of Panavision's lemos (off one of their cable ) on Monday morning. They'll have more than one cable with the camera, just canabalize one of them and throw $20 or a bottle of booze into the case for the return. rb
