M-one on old highspeed lenses

Hi!

We bought a radiofocus and a M-one-motor for a pair of years ago, We have used it om the zoom and on the telefotolenses.

We have 4 old Zeiss highspeed lesens - 9,5, 12, 26 and 25 mm. The motor can not be attached to these because of the PL-mount locking handles - because of that the lens gears are quite close to the camera house.

But we can use the Arri lightweight follow focus on these lenses - because of the small diameter of the geared ring. It passes by inside fg the locking handles. Does anybody else have had this problem? Can i use some kind of adapter which moves a smaller geared ring clocer to the camera housing?

It sounds like you were using a Mk1 Arri SR camera with Mk1 Zeiss standard lens with rabbits ears on them that then locks into the gear which is part of the body of the camera.I would use a dog bone ( 15mm hole spacer 15mm hole ) which brings the motor away from the light weight rods ( depending on size of bracket )and then you can use a 15mm rod and move the motor back further to where the gear is on the body . See Attached still I hope this helps .

I believe you can remove one of the PL mount dog-ears. Is it not held in place by two small screws? This should make room for the M1 gear.

I believe you can remove one of the PL mount dog-ears. Is it not held in place by two small screws? This should make room for the M1 gear.

I usually use these way or additional free drive gear.
