Premium Members Henry Gelhart Posted June 22, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 22, 2008 Hey, I am looking for an old "granfather" Steadicam wich was built in the 80's. I want to use it as a backup system and as a test object if I don't want to ruin my PRO... ;) The Steadicam I like to know about is one of the first model. (With the black/silver arm) Thanks Henry

Premium Members Brad Hruboska Posted June 23, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 23, 2008 I think the model 1 from 1976-77 sold for 15,000 U.S. I think the model 2 was 17,500, then it jumped to like 36,000 with the 3, and 40,000 for the 3A. I have a model 2 sled in the garage....no batteries, but the gimbal is good. make an offer. Brad Hruboska. I sold the arm years ago after it was upgraded to 3A stats with new trunions and the full on double hinge. The original arm was also a fixed weight, non adjustable so the camera range was kinda limited.
