archos 605 WiFi

Does anyone know how to get the Archos 605 WiFi to NOT go into standby mode or auto shut off?

 

Is it a menu item? Because if it is I can't find it and if its a software issue , then how do I alter it.?

I bought a 605 with the small special dock and had terry west make a power cable for it. I was wondering if he might know. Also, I'm having a bitch of a time getting mine to see an image. Mine's brand new and hasn't worked yet, any thoughts? I've been using the av420 and it seems to work just fine. Thanks for your thoughts, Rick Drapkin

hey Rick,

thanks to Tori an , an operator in NY, he solved the auto shut down problem. It was a software download, really easy.

 

As for recording, I used it all week and it worked great.... Just not hard wired. I had to charge it during lunch everyday. On mine , I just plugged in the NTSC signal from the bottom of my sled into the Archos and hit recording and bingo the image is there. Adjust your image size setting first

 

I am hoping to get a power converter made so I can power it from the sled.
