Premium Members Charles Papert Posted August 5, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 5, 2008 Indeed. When I posted posted "A Day in the Life of a Steadicam Operator" it was with the intention of keeping Ted's memory and humor alive, not just for those of us who knew him but as much for those for whom he is little more than a name and a legend. I did make sure to get Jack's blessing to do this. It would be nice to know if Christian did the same.

Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted August 5, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 5, 2008 Great shirts. I wish someone would reproduce them in the US so they wouldn't be so damn expensive. I really hope all is on the up and up. If you look at the images the shirts have a copyright ted churchill logo on them, not that that means anything. ~Jess

Seems the person reprinting these shirts not only has no regard for Ted Churchill's memory, but also seems bent on charging through the nose. Premium Members Peter Schmehl Posted September 2, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 2, 2008 Hey guys, Christian Betz is a very honorable guy and I think if you guys knew him, you would say the same. Very friendly, helpful and fair. Does it matter who puts the copyright on the shirts? I'm glad it`s someone who is lounging in our business, rather than some "shmuck" that doesnt even know who Churchill was. And if you care to find out more about Christian and his designed "Rig", click here. For my part, I think I`m gonna get the yellow shirt at some point. ;) Take care guys and RIP TC, Peter
Premium Members Juan M.Ramos SOC Posted September 10, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 I don't want to say that Christian Betz it is not a honorable men,I love his topstage and I bought 5 of them but I thimnk these t-shirts are part of our history as comunity and don't like "remakes",if you don't have one, this time is strange to put a t-shirt with this story. All the best and this only on opinion never the "only true". All the best.
Site Sponsor Christian Betz Posted September 16, 2008 Site Sponsor Report Share Posted September 16, 2008 Hey Guys out there, stop waisting time for spreading something! We did a lot of workshops here in Germany with Ted in the 1980 and 1990 and Ted belongs to our old steadicam family here in europe (Jaques Monge, Mike Bartlett, Floris Sijbesma etc.) He gave me his graphics we designd a couple of shirts here after his death his brother Jack gave me the permission to reprint "sometimes" the shirts. Belive to rework the graphics from the old handsfree program till T-shirt printing cost a lot of time. If anybody out there is thinking about to get rich of t-shirts should get back in the famous bank business of america. Let the thoughts on TED Churchill be and don't waist your time in spreading unknown b.s. A very old friend of TED
