Hi Bud,

We have tried, unsuccessfully, to call you and we don't have an email address for you so we are giving you the good news here.

This is just a quick note to let you know, we have assembled a battery hanger and it is ready to ship to you early next week. Ramon yours is still going to be dispatched on Monday.

You haven't heard from us for two days but we have been working around the clock to complete assembly on arms and battery hangers for existing orders. We now realise that in the immediate short-term we have too great a workload and because of this our lead time has now blown out from 4 to 5 weeks. This will drop back to our standard 3 weeks when we are past this peak.

Bud, we understand your urgent need for a battery hanger so we have pulled the ears off the rabbit for you.

For you other guys, we realise that we cannot do this again as we will not meet our commitments to customers who have already placed orders. We are feeling a little uncomfortable doing favours for some customers when the consequence of that, is that others already in the queue are jumped and delayed.

Rig Engineering always try to satisfy the demands and needs of our customers and this is why we will be carrying stock of completed items in the future.

Gradually we are organising for a spare battery hanger to be available, on each continent, for emergency support requirements. These will be available to all operators after the rollout has been completed.

On another note, as far as international phone calls are concerned, we have a contract with our phone company for cheap international calls, so we try make all the phone calls and we do like to talk with all our customers.

Bud, I will try to give you a phone call tomorrow.

Kind Regards,

Hugo Langer.

Hi Hugo,

budkremp@yahoo.com

(very sorry, I sent an email to "admin@steadyrig.com" through yahoo, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 9:22 PM, sounds like it didnt go through)

I do appreciate the hustle and hope this does not seriously inconvenience other operators (I never expected to jump ahead of the line).

I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow. Come hell or high water I will either answer, or call you back immediately.

To everyone involved in this thread, I sincerely appreciate your help!

The best to all of you (especially that poor little bunny rabbit!),

Bud Kremp

Allo!

Didn't realize the Hanger was going for even close to $3K, but the mangled exchange rate fluctuation may well have had something to do with the price increase. To answer Alec's question, that does not include lower JB; if you have a PRO1 or EFP it is plug and play with those JB's. Don't think I haven't been pushing Hugo to make a version with integrated JB!

I know Rig Engineering has been ramping up production on a slew of these, not sure when they were due to be released into the wild. He can be reached at:

Bud, I'm around, feel free to call with questions.

Update (Sept. 27th 2008) - Upon further inspection of my PRO 1 and a conversation with Hugo, the Steadyrig batt hanger will require a Terry West-ish mod to a PRO 1 JB (per Hugo) to be compatible to batt hanger. I have spoken to The Great Pappert and he apologizes for any confusion.

UPDATE!!! :D

Hi All !!

So I have the new Steadyrig, Anton Bauer battery Hanger installed (and 9 Dionics with 2 Quad chrgs-Ramon, did you get yours?!) and balanced on time to start my new feature Monday (first shot up)!!!

So excited! A big shout out and thanks to Hugo, The Great Papert (above and beyond man!), Mikey McGowan (fucked up my batt case! forgot to tell Innerspace I had Quad chrgs when requesting they copy your case!! Ha ha... the guys were so cool! Fixed the next day!), Ramon, Terry West and everyone else who gave me helpful, guiding advice through the nerve wrecking process of upgrading.

Cheers All,

A very thankful,

Bud Kremp
