Hi all

 

how easy (or otherwise) is it to remove the handle on the 790?

Follow up:

 

Well since noone else seemed to know I found out whilst on a shoot this week.... Yes you can and its pretty easy:

 

Remove two top screws at front base of handle (where it connects to the top of the body) and stick them in a ziplock.

 

Remove single screw (with a small crosshead screwdriver) on the rear top of the handle - again into the ziplock with this and the little plate which comes off with it!)

 

Remove the two screws under the plate you've just removed and into the ziplock with this.

 

The tally lamp will now be exposed - it can be rmeoved but its pretty much out of the way but can be taped down on its spring.

 

Camera will now fit a tight low mode cage or the AR revolution rings with ease.

hi for low mode you can attach your plate in the handle with just one screw (i did not want to do it also ,but when i tried ... very good and fast low mode! )

Thought you might be able to but I needed the handle off to fit in my AR rings!

 

Once in the rings I could fly it hi, mid and lo.
