Best Antenna for Modulus 3000

Chiming in from the receive side of things...

Having done many multiple camera wireless shows, I'd NEVER use a rubber duck as a receive antenna. They're omni-directional and don't stand up to any of the "shark-fin" style antennas we use. The last "big" show we did had up to nine cameras and more than half the time they looked hard-wired. We had such unique situations that we used HELICAL antennas THAT were rock solid. At one point we even shot video about 2 miles from the roof of a hotel from a splinter camera down to the Video Village.

That said, there are what I'd call three "levels" of antenna reception. The first is the "Radio Shack" level -- cheap, entry-level, and you get what you pay for. Level two has some brand of shark fin. The CIT Ultra-Antenna is the tried, true and most well known version. We also carry sell one manufactured by Professional Wireless that does an excellent job. The third level would be the over-the-top specialty side of things where we use the helicals.

Of course, you can't forget we're just talking about antennas here. We didn't even talk about how important the receiver is. The diversity receivers have shown us their weight in gold whether it be the DX400, 404, or the new(er) Mod-Quad.

And if anyone wants any pictures of receive situations, let me know.
