Hi everyone

Thanks Charles for starting this new thread off.

The year 1990 I had just come back from my 2nd a workshop in Malibu (The first one was in Sydney Australia in 1985) with my 2nd hand Mk2a Hot rod rig (Thanks to Bob Gorelick ) 3a post , gimble, topstage and battery hanger the lot.Great rig for its day.

In looking back at these early stills I have found a few gemms I would like to share.

An Assistant instructor Travis Clark with the water pistol(Water wars Instructors v students).

Note the young lad Jerry Hill in the lower right corner of Travis' photo...

Is that the Steadicam 35.....

Yes it is. This is a picture that Louis Puli sent me from about 1990. It is now residing in a museum that Garrett put together. Used to only work with an Arri 2C. The rear post had the drive shaft running down it to the motor in the base.

And that is me 11 years ago at music videos . Low mode with Eclair ACL 16 mm camera . One of the first my steadicam shots .

Do you still have that old Steadicam? I sent mine to Garrett for a museum that he was starting. He was still looking for parts for the one that I sent to him. I pulled the one that I had out of a dumpster behind Cinema Products when the moved their factory in late '86 or early '87.

Hi Terry -- long time!

Martin Hill near Charlotte might have one lying around? He hoards a bunch of old school film equip and mitchell stuff. I flew a CP-35 at his place maybe 15 years ago, it was #7 and had Universal Studios painted on it (he said it was the one from the 6 Million Dollar Man?).
