I did a concert the other night with the HPX 3000 and it a really nice camera, unless they are hooking you up to a multicam set up, then they are going to put a Remote Cable, Time Code, Video, Audio & Gen Lock along with PL . . . .all of that sucks . . . . . to fly with.

Other than that it's the normal, video set up

Here's a link to an article more specific to the workflow and use from the DP interview.

Half way down is a photo of me and the rig. Although, I'm a bit shamed about that tightness of the cables... but I sacrificed my FIZ3 to that A-Cam for a jib shot... this is my last day of a 10 week run and we just slapped the Bartech up... (Hey Jim... photo op!)

More of the setup here (and tidy cables)

Im actually using the hpx2000, I think it's slightly older, but similar.

It is a mulitcam set up, so all of the above which you mentioned, will have to be slapped on my rig. I've never ran with all that extra cabling so I'm a bit concerned with being able to control my rig with all the cables attached.

Any tips?

Tips.......

They will most likely give you a loom of cables, just separate out the ones you need, All the BNC cables can be barreled to your mini cables, if they are using other cameras then you don't need to

have the XLRs attached. Your biggest challenge is going to be the remote cable, they are never flexible and usually too short. I make the cables attached to the camera as small as possible and all the extra heavy stuff and loom I connect to a removable block on the back of my vest.

I just got off that multicam Hd job,

When I first arrived the engineer brought me a loom of about 12 cables all strapped together, and said, let me know when your connected. I quickly stopped him, and refused. Finally I talked him down to video,TC, and remote. I ended up having major problems with that monsterous remote cable, do you have any photos of the rig you made for it?

Also, which company makes the superlightweight bnc cables, I had a few that came with my rig, but I need some replacements.

thanks,
