Premium Members Ramon Engle Posted October 27, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 Over the weekend I worked on a job were we continually bounced from regular to low mode. I kept the sled in low mode and would flip the sled only for regular mode and leave the camera upside down to save time. Video Village started grumbling, rightfully so, about the inverted image. Our Video assist, very experienced, much respected, mentioned that the 235 IVS will invert the image! We couldn't find the function within the menu. Has anyone ever done this? Premium Members Mike McGowan SOC Posted October 27, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 Hey Ramon! Sound's like a music video??? When I get in that situation, I usually just have them physically flip the client monitor over when we do poor mans low mode. Not sure about the image flip on the 235. Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted October 27, 2008 Moderators Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 Some of these flat screen LCDs at video village will let you flip the image in monitor (via a menu) too.
Premium Members Lukas Franz Posted October 27, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 Ramon, there is actually an invert function in the 235 menu. But it means you invert only the text of the OSD from white to black... As far as I know, there is no electronic function to flip the image upside down. But I know, you can adjust the IVS mechanically. That means you can move and rotate. But I'm not shure if you can rotate it 180. Try it. You'll find the alignment knobs right below the viewfinder on the right side. Cheers, Lukas
Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted October 28, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 Though the image can be adjusted to fit with the generated frame lines, i doubt that it can be rotated 180 degrees, which would mean that you rotate the whole video chip. The adjustments that are possible are only for very minor adjustments, left, right, up down and rotate and the rental house will not be happy if you reset this every time you do a low mode....
