Premium Members Tomas Szklarski Posted November 21, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 21, 2008 Anyone looking to sell their IDX CamWave Wevi SD version? or possibly rent it for a couple months? Or anything else that has a stable, "broadcast quality" signal? I am open to ideas. It's for a theater that wants to have a live camera that can move on stage during the play and I don't want to give up my camwave for it. Thanks! -Tom

Thanks! -Tom They are aware that the Camwave CW-5 (SD version) has about a 500ms delay? We have found that this makes it very had to intercut with other cameras for live performances, as the speaker's mouth movements are noticeably out of sync with the non-delayed audio. I have a Camwave and love it, but use it for shooting crowd reactions, etc. where sync with other cameras is not important. For concerts, etc, I usually go tethered back to the switcher. Of course, you probably know all of this since you have one. Chris
Premium Members Tomas Szklarski Posted November 25, 2008 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 25, 2008 I posted before I met with them. When I went to do tests with my wireless systems, they thought maybe they could deal with the delay if it was stable...they said they couldn't. The are gonna try using my RF system, even though I told them I can't guarantee anything with it. The tech crew understands about using RF systems and what not, but they are gonna test it out anyway, they are still in developments and I asked why not cabled and why they needed the camera since one will already be out there, and they said it was needed for the play, but they are seriously thinking of just cabling it or putting drops around the stage since apparently it doesn't need to be "on" while it moves around the stage. And they are just thinking of scraping the second camera too. We shall see. -Tom
