Premium Members Charles Papert Posted April 26, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 26, 2009 I did confirm with Paul that the center of gravity still lies down the center of the mount, not the center of the battery (i.e. even though the new one will stick out the side of the rig a bit, the balance won't be shifted). Yeah, I already have two different displays I don't really need a third. Looks kind of cheesy as well. It does look like it takes up less realestate. Premium Members Charles Papert Posted April 27, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 27, 2009 I pitched Paul about the concept of a regular digital clock-style display of hours and minutes instead of the renovated pie chart concept--my feeling is that even if it is only accurate to 15 minute intervals, as represented now by the pieces of pie, it would still be a lot easier to comprehend a display that says "3:15" or ":45" than the mix of numbers and pie pieces. Realistically I think we only really care about a few different states with our batteries: full up, getting close to empty, and really close to empty. Everything in-between is only helpful if you want to match two different batteries that are partially discharged when putting them in series. thoughts? I know he just got a new sled and I'm looking to upgrade soon with all the hd on the horizon...too many good choices out there make it a harder decision!
