Flyer LE vs. Flyer SE?

I have the option of either purchasing a used SE version for $5000 or an LE version brand new for $7,000. (unless someone is selling a used Flyer LE).

Right now, it looks like both will cover the weight capacity I will need to fly. The main thing, I am just wondering if the new ISO-Elastic Arm is that much better.

What are the main differences between the two?

What would be the reason why you would get one over the other?

Thanks!

Hi Joseph,

I would get the LE and here is why.

1: it is newer

2: it lifts 4lbs. more camera weight

3: Telescoping Centerpost (18.5-32in/47-81cm )

4: large-diameter Delrin knurled handle

Good Luck

Even if you were just starting out, do you think it would be best to spend $2,000 for the LE?

As an owner of a single section flyer, get the LE. You will be glad that you spent the extra $2000. On top of the reasons Philip stated, the larger dia post should allow you to add extra wires down the post, which you will soon add to power additional accessories.
