Premium Members joe mcnally Posted August 23, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 23, 2004 Hi Thomas have you tried Paul Edwards ? Mike Scott ? How about Andre Austin ? His work on Waking the Dead is very strong. As you know we have been doing some informal sessions/get togethers at my place with various levels of operators and there is always something to be learned or broken. How about we find a good venue and have a day with a few of us UK ops ? Have you booked the Malibu workshop ? Cheers Joe

We are doing some more advanced training workshops very soon (as soon as I get back from the US) - I am busy, but never too busy to talk to you. Please email me and I will give you all the details and you can also have a play with all the new stuff. Hope to see you soon All the best Howard J Smith MK-V
Premium Members Thomas English Posted August 23, 2004 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted August 23, 2004 cheers howard yeah, joe... we should rent a hall near by to u and have an informal steadicam conference... put a post on "castings shooting people" or something and get a couple of actors down that want to sit and stand and run around like rabbits being hunted. ive tried those people.. frank rush assures me he'll tell me when malibu is but it looks like about january or febuary. thomas
Premium Members Jason Williams Posted August 23, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 23, 2004 I don't know if this is the best time to stick this post in, but I'm going on the Optex course in November, but would love to either share my experience (3 years using a similar rig) or get together with an experienced operator, just for a mess around, if anyone has any time ... I live in the North West of the UK. I'm very keen to use my rig, I love operating and enjoy it to the most, it was my dream and ambition, now it's all a reality! Thanks!
