If you wanna go cheaper than IDX and keep V-mount take a look at SWIT batteries as well, much cheaper and I know of some fellows that are very happy with it. Hope to see you soon somewhere Cheers F

Premium Members Fabrizio Sciarra SOC ACO Posted April 12, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2009 F what about swit and 435 at 150fps? Good question indeed; hope somebody who's using it can chime in and share his experience on the matter.
Premium Members Benjamin Treplin Posted April 12, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 12, 2009 Swit batteries will power a 435 up to 150 fps BUT only if they are brand new and fresh of the charger. IMHO swit batteries are good for there prices but they'll bring no happiness on the really power demanding cameras. My 2 cent

Premium Members Mark Karavite Posted May 13, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 13, 2009 Hey Keith, Neither of the batteries you are considering are "high draw" batteries. Only the PowerCubes and the soon to be delivered Dionic HC's will handle the demands of both digital cinema cameras and 435 high speed. Although you can get the Swit's or comparable for a bit cheaper, if they don't work on many of today's popular cameras, then you may be better served spending a bit more for a high current battery. Both the PowerCubes and the Dionic HC's are very similar, so the decision really comes down to your mounts and chargers, & buying what is compatible. Food for thought!
