Recorder will still work but image will be optimized if you have your sled modified to output 12 volts from the REC OUT plug. I have always been very happy with my FFV products (I had the NDT-200 before) but I am now moving almost exclusively to HD and the thing is just collecting dust in my bags. Priced to sell fast.
