What if film crews ran the world ?

Recommended Posts

Maybe this is old but I just saw it this morning on TV and found a link on YouTube.

Basically it's a Sprint commercial featuring a wedding organized by a film crew using Sprint phones.

What If Film Crews Ran The World

How funny!! I just saw it for the first time tonight during an episode of "Lost."

Excuse me for the out topic... but who's doing steadicam in LOST? (that is to me the best tv series ever made...)

Thanks for the info and compliments to whoever is.

Matteo

Gary Camp used to do it for a while until he separated his shoulder.

Bob Gorelick did quite a bunch.

Chris Haarhoff was on it for a couple of episodes.

Greg Lundsgaard did a couple.

Colin Hudson was on for several episodes.

I have seen pictures of Andy Shuttleworth on the set of Lost...

It seams as if they couldn't hold on to the operator for to long...

I wonder why? Jungle, Beach... running in sand and salt water... wait I'm starting to get a glimpse...

yeah, they have had many ops...and Erwin is right, it is probably a tough show to do. I make it a point to never shoot in paradise. You're schlepping 70+ pounds through the sand getting heat-stroke and a few yards down the beach people are catching waves and having drinks watching us circus carnies struggle.

nice commercial Robert.

Just combine the two; as if I have to tell you that.

For the final scenes of "Office Space" where sad sack Milton is relaxing on the beach, we flew to Key West for a single day of shooting. The night we arrived one of the producers took us out on the town and about 12 of us got unspeakably drunk into the wee hours. Cut to all Steadicam all the time on the beach, in truly outrageous temperature and humidity. I was laughing at just how fantastically horrible it was to be slugging through the sand with a whopping hangover (if not still drunk) under those conditions. Thankfully those days are behind me, I leave the drunken operating to Baldwin (and if possible, the sand-work to others--I was called to start the first season of "Lost" and turned it down).
