Premium Members Charles Papert Posted June 7, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 Hi: For tomorrow I need either one of two things: (2) 1/4"-20 screws with really small heads (that can fit in the Panavision slots of a standard dovetail plate) or Tap an existing steel plate to accept the normal Panavision screws (what size are those exactly)? You know, the ones we use to attach our dovetails to the Lightweight or the XL mounting plates. Basically, my ancient weight plate was set up for 1/4"-20 little head screws, and I've managed to lose mine, and need to use it tomorrow. Worst-case scenario is that I borrow someone's weight plate, but then I still have to deal with my little dilemma. You can't get those screws at a hardware store btw--I've tried. Anyone in LA that can help out, I thank you! (and hopefully not 50 miles out of town)...
